Everything you need at the table

The same product as the iOS app, running in your browser.

One photo, the whole menu

Handwritten specials, a chalkboard by the door, a laminated card with no pictures. Take the photo, or pick one from your library later.

Explained, not word-for-word

Every dish gets the translation, the original text and how to say it — plus a line on what it is actually made of.

Allergens and diets filtered

Common allergens are flagged. Filter for vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free or lactose-free and the rest fades back.

An order list to show the server

Add the dishes you want, then turn the screen around. Original text and your language side by side, in large type.

Hear the original

Every dish carries a pronunciation line, and your browser can read it out loud where speech is supported.

Prices in your currency

Yen, won or baht converted with a built-in rate table that refreshes weekly. No mental maths at the table.

Restrained by design

Menu photos are processed and then discarded, never stored. Location is optional and blurred to roughly one kilometre before it is used.

Three steps, about eight seconds

From opening the page to reading the first dish.

  1. 1

    Open menuka.app

Nothing to install. Android Chrome, the WeChat browser and iOS Safari all work.

  2. 2

    Photograph the menu

Your camera opens straight from the page, or you can pick up to two photos from your library.

  3. 3

    Read, filter, order

Dishes appear one at a time. Filter by diet, add what you want, and show the list to the server.
